Great results continue for UNH Riders: Victory!
Yet again, another successful weekend of summer racing for the University of New Hampshire Cycling team. Racing in the Giro Del Cielo, James Kennedy placed 8th in the road race and blazed his way to a 5th place finish in the criterium!
On Saturday June 25th James Bolognani and Patrick Galvin took the start line together at the White Mountains Cycling Classic Pro/1/2/3 race in Lincoln, NH. While Jimmy was busy chasing down the break, PG sat in, stayed quiet and conserved his energy. After an action packed 48 miles, the break was caught, the field slowed, everyone waiting for someone to make a move. With 2 miles to go, PG made his attacked on the right. Flying solo through the rolling hills PG started to gain a significant gap on the field. All the big engines in the peloton began to roar and the chase was on. Whipping through the final 2 turns PG was able to hold off the field by a mere bike length to win his first ever mass start race!
UNH Cycling is disappointed to see the Fitchburg Longsjo canceled, but understand the circumstances and hope for best to all those affected by the tragic fire earlier this month.
